In this section, equipment can be dismantled into raw materials by a moogle blacksmith. The default tab is New which lists everything the Player has recently aquired with the exception of any gear that is currently stored or locked. The other tabs let you also filter to gear of a specific type.
Any piece of equipment can be salvaged which will to extract a set amount of materials and leave the Salvaged Remains of the dismantled gear. Hovering over equipment will show the specific materials that will be obtained, and selecting an item will add it's material to the dispayed salvage total. Players can select all equipment currently displayed by clicking the top most check box on the current filter tab. Note: this will leave Protected equipment unselected.
🛡️ Protected equipment will be shown greyed out, and attempting to select will prompt a "Confirm Action" message. The message will display the full name of the protected equipment along with the date it was obtained by the player. Players can either click "Confirm Select" or cancel the action by clicking the "✖" in the upper right corner of the pop up message. Clicking confirm will complete the selection action, remove the greyed out appearance, and prevent additional "Confirm Action" prompts for that equipment. Protected equipment selected in this manner can be deselected, but will not return to a greyed out state or require a confirmation to reselect.
Clicking "Sell Equipment" will prompt a "Confirm Action" to ❌SALVAGE❌ all selected items. Players may cancel the action by clicking the "✖" in the upper right corner of the pop up message. To complete the transaction, Players must check both safety boxes and click "Confirm Salvage". A final message will display the number of equipment pieces salvaged, the total materials aquired, a list naming each individual piece, and the amount of credits received for any salaved remains sold.
Salvaged remains sold to a moogle merchant can be bought back from the bazaar (see Purchase - Salvage).
See Salvage for a more detailed breakdown of extractable materials.
