This page is dedicated to explaining the mechanics of the ways players in the HentaiVerse mini-game reduce damage. It is not intended as a guide to reducing damage though a better understanding of the mechanics can allow a player to make more informed decisions.
Damage Reduction
There are four factors that go into determining damage reduction:
Barrier/Shield ratings,
Physical/Magical Absorption (including that granted by the Shield or Barrier spell),
Physical/Magical Mitigation,
and specific type Mitigation (e.g. Slashing, Fire, etc.). It is important to note that mitigations are applied in a multiplicative fashion.
This works out to: [(Original Damage Roll- Absorption)*(1- Physical/Magical Mitigation)*(1- Specific damage type Mitigation)]= Damage taken.
It is assumed that Barrier/Shield ratings are applied in regards to the original damage roll, but no one knows how this is calculated.
