The E-Hentai Toplists

The E-Hentai Toplists are a public measurement of a user's participation activity in the E-Hentai Galleries and Hentai@Home system. Every registered user is able to participate.

Toplist Categories

There are currently 8 categories in which users can compete for the top positions. Each category is further separated into Day, Month, Year, and All Time sub-categories.

Gallery Toplists

This lists the most viewed galleries. To be featured on this list, users simply need to upload galleries and hope for many users to view them. Advertising one's galleries on the E-Hentai Forums or other places is permitted. Users receive points for each viewed picture up to a maximum per gallery and also for Doggie Bag downloads. A "visit" is counted once per visitor per half hour per gallery.

Users can view what kind of activity their galleries are receiving by going to the Gallery Manager if they own them. For other galleries, users may simply visit one and click the "Gallery Stats" link on the right. Users must be logged into E-Hentai for these links to work.

If the images in a gallery are fully contained in another gallery from which it is not a direct descendant, it is excluded from the toplists.^(Ref)

Uploader Toplists

Similar to the gallery toplist, this list is for the cumulative total activity of all of a user's galleries. Getting on this list and staying there is much more competitive since users need to upload many galleries that continually receive visits. Users can see what kind of activity their galleries are receiving collectively on their My Stats page.

Tagging Toplists

This is a list of the top taggers. To tag users simply need to go to any gallery and put in descriptors that describe the gallery.

It is highly recommended to read the tagging guidelines and approved tags before tagging. It is also recommended to not tag older galleries unless experienced.

Points

• Users can score for up to 5 tags on any one gallery
  • Higher scoring tags are given priority
• 3 points for adding a new tag
• 1 point for voting an existing tag up or down
• 1 point for adding a tag that is contained within the gallery's name or another existing tag
• 0 points for voting on any tag over 100 mod power 24 hours after the tag was first added

Example: If a user added 3 tags and voted on 2 or more existing ones they would get 11 points (3 * 3 + 2 * 1)

Hentai@Home Toplists

This shows the top users running the Hentai@Home system. To be ranked on this toplist, simply run at least 1 Hentai@Home client. The faster one's upload speed and the more hits one gets with their H@H client(s) the faster the points add up.

EHTracker Toplists

This lists the top seeders for torrents on the tracker. The score for this toplist is a weighted combination of a user's torrent completions, seeding minutes (seedmins), and seed ratio for the given period. The exact weighing algorithm is unknown at this time. Seed ratio is capped to a factor between 0.1 and 2.

This is a list of users who most contribute to the ongoing effort to keep the galleries properly organized by updating titles, as well as expunging duplicates, unsuitable entries, and prohibited content. Users can join in simply by signing gallery petitions. Participating through The Vigilante section on the forum is greatly recommended.

Rating & Reviewing Toplists

This lists the top users who have either rated galleries, made comments / reviews on galleries, or voted on such comments / reviews.

Daily Awards

EXP Boosts

When a user is ranked in the top 25 of a toplist, they are rewarded passively during the period of time in which they hold that rank. Said user is given an increased percentage of all experience earned in the HentaiVerse between toplist calculations (approximately 24 hours).

Example

If a user ranks within first place in a toplist, the EXP they receive while at that rank will be increased by 50%. e.g. If they received 250 EXP throughout the day, they would get an additional 125 EXP.

Being ranked in multiple toplist categories is also cumulative. e.g. Placing 1st place in two different categories means receiving a 100% increase in EXP gains. However, ranking in two toplists of the same category, such as the tagging toplist for the day and the tagging toplist for the month, will lead to the better of the two to take effect.

Monthly Awards

Tickets

These and are given on the first day of each month to the users who ranked in the top of one or more monthly toplists the previous day. Users that manage to rank in the top of multiple toplists get one trophy per each valid ranking. These function like trophies and can be exchanged at the Shrine for equipment or sold at the item shop for credits.

These are rewards intended for hard working users who have dedicated to helping the site over the course of a month; they are not meant as incentives for regular HentaiVerse players seeking loot.

All ranked users receive a Tenbora's Box trophy for each Toplist in which they rank within the top 7.

Awards

These are only given on special events to users to thank them for having contributed to the community (except for the Cookie which is given randomly). Those that are not given randomly are earned by performing tasks for the site for the duration of a year; they are not meant as incentives for those seeking HentaiVerse or other rewards.

Scoring

Between 2008-2010 awards were given to users that ranked in the first 3 places of the yearly toplists.

As of 2011, the scoring which determines if one receives an award is now based on the sum total of all the toplist ranks made for the year (e.g. 1st place is 7 points, 2nd place is 6 points, etc.) Those who score at least 1 point in this manner receive an award. As of 2012, those who place in between 8th and 25th ranks on the toplists receive half a point for every placement.

Timeframes

• For Gallery and Uploader toplists the lists are generated based on the period from the same day in the previous month to the preceding day of the current month, and the last 12 months. e.g. On Mar. 18 the monthly toplist will be based on Feb. 18 to Mar. 17.
• The Tagging toplist's daily list is delayed by 3 days.
• All other toplists are based on the most recent day, the calendar current month, and the current calendar year.

Time Discrepancies

Sometimes it takes a while for the system to update. Users may upload or tag a large number of galleries and not see these changes in the toplists until the following day or two.

The toplists are updated during the Dawn of a New Day, but the update process takes a few minutes to complete. Thus, the toplists page may contain some inaccuracies during the update process.
