Archives
The Doggie Bag System is a primary means of downloading content on the E-Hentai Gallery System and E-Hentai User Gallery System. Doggie Bagging allows registered users to download archived copies (in .ZIP format) for a fee of either GP or credits.
How to Use
- In an E-Hentai Gallery, click on the "Download an archive of this gallery" link that is located below the gallery information.
- In a user gallery, click on the "Archive Download" link on the right of the page.
A user is shown a browser window with their current GP total (or credits if not enough GP are available), the size of the gallery, and the cost of the gallery. The fee is deducted, and the window automatically are periodically refreshes the window, automatically providing a download prompt when the download is available. The use of download managers is permitted (up to 4 simultaneous streams per download).
Costs
- The base amount is relative to the total filesize after being compressed (roughly 20GP/MB).
- The cost will increase based on the number of recently downloaded archives by the user in the last week. This only begins after 100 downloads.
- Older archives (those that have not been downloaded by anyone in over 30 days and whose gallery is over 30 days old) will have an x2 multiplier on their cost; this stacks with the above cost increase.
Re-Downloading
There is an option to re-download a doggie bagged gallery for up to 1 week from when currency used was deducted. Galleries can be re-downloaded by returning to their respective pages and clicking the download link again.
Filenames
The filenames used in archives are subject to the following adjustments (done automatically by the system):
- If any duplicate filenames are present a prefix will be added in order to differentiate those images from each other
- As of 2013 the numerical order of the files will be added (e.g. something001.jpg -> 01_something001.jpg, 00.jpg -> 01_00.jpg, etc.)
- This does not occur if the filename already begins with a 2-4 digit number (with leading zeroes) followed by an underscore
