The E-Hentai Toplists is a public measurement of a users participation activity in the [[E-Hentai Galleries]] and [[Hentai@Home | Hentai@Home system]]. Any user that is registered on the site forums are able to participate.

===Gallery Toplists===
Lists the most viewed galleries. To be featured on this list users simply need to [[Making Galleries|upload galleries]] and for many users to view them. Users receive points for each viewed picture up to a maximum per gallery and also for each [[Archive]] download requested on their gallery. A "visit" is counted once per visitor per half hour per gallery.


There are currently four categories in which users can vie for the top positions. Each category is separated by day, week, month, year, and All time (Since the beginning of the user galleries).
Users can view what kind of activity their own galleries are receiving by going to their [[Gallery Manager]]. For other galleries users may visit them and click the "Gallery Stats" link on the right.

Lists the top users running [[Hentai@Home]] clients. Points are based on the hits received for all of user's H@H clients and [[Adopt-A-Server]] activity, calculated as the number of hits divided by 100.

When a user is ranked in the top 25 of a toplist, they are rewarded both actively and passively during the period of time they hold a rank. Below is a list of rewards. A user is given a small lump sum of experience, as well as an increased percentage of all experience earned between toplist calculations (usually at least a 24 hour period).
Lists the top uploaders for torrents on the site's tracker. The score is a weighted combination of a user's torrent completions, seedmins, and seed ratio for the given period. Seed ratio is capped to a factor between 0.1 and 2 and seeding is capped at 17,280 points per day.

If you are first place in a toplist, then you would receive a lump sum of 20 exp. Added on to that, all the experience you receive while at that rank will be imcreased by 50%. So if you got, say 250 exp throughout the day (not including the lump sum 20 exp), then you would get an additional 125 exp.

Being ranked in multiple different toplists is also cumulative; if you are 1st place in two toplists, then you would receive 40 exp, and a 100% increase in experience. If you create or vote for an invalid (appealed) expunge but are also the one who created the appeal, it will zero out and give 0 points total.

The E-Hentai Toplists are a public measurement of a user's participation in E-Hentai Galleries' various systems.

Toplist ranks are not meant to be pursued for selfish purposes nor through system abuse. Users who treat them as such will be permanently banned.

Toplist Categories

All 7 categories are further separated into Day, Month, Year, and All Time sub-categories (28 total).

Gallery Toplists

Lists the most viewed galleries. To be featured on this list users simply need to upload galleries and for many users to view them. Users receive points for each viewed picture up to a maximum per gallery and also for each Archive download requested on their gallery. A "visit" is counted once per visitor per half hour per gallery.

Users can view what kind of activity their own galleries are receiving by going to their Gallery Manager. For other galleries users may visit them and click the "Gallery Stats" link on the right.

If the images in a gallery are fully contained in another gallery from which it is not a direct descendant it is excluded from the toplists.(Ref)

Uploader Toplists

Similar to the gallery toplist, this list is for the cumulative total activity of all of a user's galleries. This list is much more competitive since users need to upload many galleries that continually receive visits. Users can see what kind of activity their galleries are cumulatively receiving on their My Stats page.

Tagging Toplists

Lists the top taggers. To tag users simply need to go to any gallery and put in descriptors that describe a noticeable portion of the gallery's content, characters, etc.

The most common ban is due to poor tagging. It is highly recommended to read the tagging guidelines and approved tags list before tagging. When in doubt it is simply better to not tag something.

Tagging Points

  • 3 points for adding the first vote on an active tag
  • 1 point for voting up an active tag
  • 2 points for voting down a bad assessed tag
  • -10 points for voting up a bad assessed tag

Toplist points are awarded or deducted when a tag is assessed. A tag is only assessed when at least two votes have been made on the tag.

Hentai@Home Toplists

Lists the top users running Hentai@Home clients. Points are based on the hits received for all of user's H@H clients and Adopt-A-Server activity, calculated as the number of hits divided by 100.

EHTracker Toplists

Lists the top uploaders for torrents on the site's tracker. The score is a weighted combination of a user's torrent completions, seedmins, and seed ratio for the given period. Seed ratio is capped to a factor between 0.1 and 2 and seeding is capped at 17,280 points per day.

Cleanup Toplists

See Expunging and Renaming.

Lists users who most contribute to the ongoing effort to keep the galleries properly organized by updating titles as well as expunging unsuitable galleries. Incomplete petitions do not reward points. Usage of the The Vigilante subforum is extremely recommended.

Expunging Points

  • 5 points for submitting a valid expunge
  • 1 point for voting for a valid expunge
  • -25 points for submitting an invalid (appealed) expunge
  • -5 points for voting for an invalid (appealed) expunge
  • 5 points for submitting a successful appeal
  • 1 point for voting for a successful appeal

If you create or vote for an invalid (appealed) expunge but are also the one who created the appeal, it will zero out and give 0 points total.

Voting against petitions or appeals does not grant toplist points.

Rating & Reviewing Toplists

Lists the top users who have either rated galleries, made comments on galleries, or voted on such comments. There is a cap of 20 points per day for rating and 50 points per comment (depending on which users voted for it and what other comments those users voted on). There is a limit of 10 comment votes per day that award points. Comments must be longer than 100 characters in order to qualify for points.

EXP Boosts

Users who rank among the top 25 in various toplists gain an increase to their HentaiVerse experience rate. Being ranked in multiple toplists grant cumulative bonuses; placing 1st place in two different categories means receiving a 100% increase to experience rate. Ranking in two toplists of the same category also count.

Daily toplists do not grant any bonus to experience rate, except for the daily galleries toplist.

Experience rates are recalculated when toplists are calculated (once every 24 hours, around the time of the Dawn of the New Day event).

Coupons

These and are distributed on the first day of each month to the users who ranked in the top of the monthly toplists on the previous day. Users that rank in multiple toplists get one coupon per each ranking. These function as trophies and can be exchanged at the Shrine for equipment.

These are strictly meant as compensation for those who greatly contribute to the site for the duration of a month; they are NOT incentives for those purely seeking HentaiVerse loot.

Ranking Points

Ranking Points for awards made after 2010 are based on the sum total of yearly toplist placements for each category.

In addition, ranking points could be boosted via MVP Nominations(ref), where select staffers have been able to nominate people who contribute in ways outside of what can be measured by the toplists, starting in 2019. Since 2023, Catgirl Camarilla members had the opportunity to suggest nominations as well.

Timeframes

  • The lists are generated based on the period of the last 24 hours, 30 days, and 365 days (for daily, monthly, and yearly lists respectively). e.g. On April 18 the monthly toplist will be based on March 18 to April 17.
  • The Tagging toplist's daily list is delayed by 3 days.
  • Users may upload a large number of galleries and not see these changes in the toplists until the following day or two.
  • The toplists are updated during the Dawn of a New Day and the update process takes a few minutes to complete. During this time the toplists may contain some inaccuracies.
