The E-Hentai Gallery System is one of the core systems of the [[E-Hentai]] site, where users are able to contribute their own material in the form of one or more user galleries. A user can upload private and public galleries of hentai and anime-related content, which they can use on the E-Hentai Forums and other sites and forums in order to easily to maintain and share content with other people.

Sharing content can be done independently on the particular forums and sites on which a user wishes to do so. The system can generate BBCode and CSS-skinnable HTML for direct inclusion as external galleries, and can also host a customizable gallery for the user locally. All that is need for this is to register for a [[E-Hentai Forums]] Account.

Unlike most other galleries, the amount of GP earned from private galleries is reduced to 50% of what an uploader would usually receive. == Current Known Issues ==
 
*Since the event systems and the User Galleries are not actually integrated, a peculiar quirk occurs.  The system directs a user to the particular page that would have an event once every hour, but if the user does not have an active event or does not qualify to get a new one it will redirect the user to the ad that would be there.
 
Currently this issue cannot be fixed without removing events from galleries.

  • Galleries have their timestamp bolded if they have not been seen since the user last visited (requires 30+ minutes of not viewing any galleries).
  • Tags that are not searchable (below 10 power) are not displayed in any mode.

There are 11 categories for galleries to designate their content.

Subsystems

Archives

A means to download archived versions of galleries for a fee, either in Credits or Gallery Points.

Bounties

Gives users a direct incentive to help others in finding, translating, editing, or decensoring material that can be posted as galleries.

Commenting

Allows users to leave helpful comments on galleries and to vote on existing comments.

Describing

Uploaders may give descriptions of their galleries to help further inform users about their contents.

EHTracker

A tracker for torrents uploaded by users in order to provide an alternative means for downloading galleries.

Expunging

A form of gallery moderation that allows users to petition for the removal of galleries from the gallery listing, primarily in regards to duplicated / inferior copies of already uploaded galleries.

Favorites

Allows users to save any number of galleries to a personal list along with notes. These can be sorted via user-chosen colors/customizable names and by posting or favoriting dates.

My Galleries

Allows users to manage and maintain their own uploaded galleries, including categorizing and sorting them internally with folders.

My Home

The primary location of information regarding a user's own activities in regards to the galleries. Included are visits and hits stats, power information, settings, and logs.

Rating

Allows users to rate galleries on a 10-point scale. A gallery's cumulative rating is viewable on the gallery listing as well as within the gallery itself. This is replaced by the user's personal rating should they make one.

Renaming

A form of gallery moderation that allows users to petition for the renaming of gallery titles.

Reporting

A form of gallery moderation that allows users to request the removal of galleries; it is to be used only in cases of very serious rule violations. Not to be used as a substitute for Expunging.

Searching

An internal search engine for finding galleries based on various properties such as tags.

Tagging

Allows users to indicate the content and other properties of a gallery such as its author, language, major fetishes, characters, etc. It is highly recommended to read the guide before performing any tagging.

Toplists

Listings that showcase users who contribute the most to the galleries in various ways.

Alternate Viewing Modes

Lo-Fi Galleries

A mobile-friendly mode with smaller images and a more simplified interface.

Multi-Page Viewer

A more streamlined viewing mode. Images are pre-loaded and continuous scrolling is allowed. Requires the Multi-Page Viewer Hath Perk or a Gold Star.
