Power

Karma and Power are two related aspects of E-hentai. Karma acts as a reputation system and power as a modifier for various functions involving the galleries.

Power

Power is calculated using the following factors:

A user is considered 'active' if they have made at least one forum post on that day.

The total Power above is multiplied by a Karma Factor depending on a user's Karma Level (see below). Each level above 7 increases this factor by 1/6.

All Auras and most Awards also give an additional multiplier to Power. Their combined effects are additive, not multiplicative. The base Aura multiplier is 1.

Formula

Power = rounddown[((1 + days_registered / 36.5) + (post_count / 500) + (henjutsu_level / 3) + (power_tank_level / 2)) * (1 + aura_multiplier) * (karma_level - 1) / 6]

Example

A member registered 397 days ago, has 489 posts, a Henjutsu Level of 6, no Power Tank training, no Auras, and a Karma Level of 9. Their Power is:

((1 + 397 / 36.5 + 489 / 500 + 6 / 3 + 0 / 2) * 1 * (9 - 1) / 6) ~= 19.8

This is then rounded down to give a final result of 19 Power. If they get all 7 Primary Auras, the Aura multiplier becomes 1.49, resulting in 29 Power.

If they also donated enough money for a Silver Aura as their best Metallic Aura and won a Cookie in the yearly lottery, the Aura multiplier would then become 2.19 instead, resulting in 43 Power.

HentaiVerse

Every 7 Power increases a player's base Spirit Points by 1.

Mod Power

Sometimes referred to as "modmod". This affects a user's ability to vote more strongly on Gallery Tagging, Gallery Ratings, Gallery Comments, and on gallery petitions for Renaming and Expunging. Mod Power is capped at 100.

Karma System

Karma Imbuements

In order to imbue someone with Karma, click on either Karma button shown on the figure above. The user imbued will receive Karma points equal to the imbuer's current Power or 1000, whichever is lower. After penalties and boosts are applied (see below), the final result is rounded to the nearest integer.

Each time a user imbues someone with Karma, their Karma Power will temporarily be drained (this has no effect on their actual Power). Karma Power regenerates at a rate of 0.5% per minute and it will never drop below 1.

Limits

• New users are unable to imbue karma until they have posted. They must also post at least once to receive karma.
• The maximum amount of karma that may be imbued is 1000, regardless of a user's maximum power.
• Users may only imbue the same person with karma once every 72 hours.
• Repeated imbues between the same people will hurt both of them. Whenever a user imbues someone, one level of Karmic Exhaustion is added to both sides. KE starts at 15% and reduces imbued karma by 3% per level down to a minimum of 1%.
  • KE levels wear off one at a time: on their own every 30 days and actively through imbues made within a reasonable time frame (5 monthly imbues = 6 days?)
• Users cannot imbue someone if their post count did not change since their last imbuement from them.
• A user's karma bar will not be visible until they have received karma from another user, although they may imbue others beforehand.

Boosts

The amount of Karma received from imbuements can be boosted via Karma Amplifier Training (1% per rank, 100% maximum) and Hath Perks (25% per rank, 100% maximum). These boosts stack multiplicatively (400% maximum).

Green pips overlap grayscale ones and turn into red stars afterwards. The karma required per level increases exponentially by a factor of approximately 1.7793835.

How To Make A K+ Link

To make a karma link, which allows imbues outside of a thread, the following can be added to a forum signature:

• Replace {USER} with a forum ID (found by clicking the username in a post or by users clicking their own name at the top next to the "Logged in as" text).
• Replace {TEXT} with whatever text is desired (e.g. K+, Thank You!)

The URL itself may also be used in a browser to imbue another user for contributions that were made outside of the forum. The thread column for that imbue will then remain empty on the user's karma log.
