Toplists

The E-Hentai Toplists, as rendered by Internet Explorer 7. The original dimensions are 1024x1189.

The E-Hentai Toplists are a public measurement of a user's participation activity in the E-Hentai Galleries and Hentai@Home system. Any user that is registered on the site forums is able to participate.

Toplist Categories

There are currently 8 categories in which users can compete for the top positions. Each category is separated by Day, Month, Year, and All Time.

Gallery Toplists

This lists the top viewed galleries. To be featured on this list, you simply need to upload galleries onto the site and hope for many users to view your gallery. Advertising your galleries on the E-Hentai Forums or other places of your choice is permitted. You receive points for each viewed picture up to a maximum per gallery and also for Doggie Bag downloads.

You can see what kind of activity individual galleries are receiving by going to the Gallery Manager if you own them. For other galleries, simply visit one and clicking the "Gallery Stats" link on the right. You must to be logged into E-Hentai for this link to work.

Uploader Toplists

This is similar to the gallery toplist, except it is for the cumulative total for all activity of a user's galleries. To get on this list is much harder to stay competitive since you need to upload many galleries, that continually receive visits. The advertising method mentioned above also can help with this. Alternatively you can see what kind of activity your galleries are receiving as a collective on the user stat page.

Tagging Toplists

This is a list of the top taggers. To tag you simply need to go to any gallery and put in descriptors that describe the gallery.

Hentai@Home Toplists

This shows the activity of users running the Hentai@Home system. To be ranked on this toplist, simply run the Hentai@Home client. The faster your upload speed the more hits you get with your H@H client(s) the faster the points add up.

EHTracker Toplists

The score for this toplist is a weighted combination of your torrent's completions, your seedmins, and your seed ratio for the given periods. The exact weighing algorithm is unknown at this time. Seed ratio is capped to a factor between 0.1 and 2.

Cleanup Toplists

This is a list of users who most contribute to the ongoing effort to keep the galleries properly organized by updating titles, as well as expunging duplicates, unsuitable entries, and prohibited content. Users can join in simply by signing gallery petitions, but participating through The Vigilante section on the forum is preferred.

Rating & Reviewing Toplists

This lists the users who have either rated galleries, made comments / reviews about galleries, or voted on such comments / reviews.

Before May 21th 2010, the users who rated galleries were taken into account in the Tagging toplists instead, and before the creation of those toplists (in January 25th 2010), the comments/reviews voters were added to the Cleanup toplists.

Rewards

There are 3 sets of awards.

• Daily rewards for the top 25 in the form of EXP bonuses.
• Monthly rewards for the top 7 in the form of trophies.
• Yearly rewards for the top 3 in the form of auras.

EXP Bonuses

When a user is ranked in the top 25 of a toplist, they are rewarded passively during the period of time they hold a rank. A user is given an increased percentage of all experience earned in the HentaiVerse between toplist calculations (approximately a 24 hour period).

Example

If you are first place in a toplist, the EXP you receive while at that rank will be increased by 50%. So if you got, say 250 exp throughout the day, then you would get an additional 125 EXP.

Being ranked in multiple toplist categories is also cumulative. e.g. If you were 1st place in two different categories, then you would receive a 100% increase in experience. However, if you are in two toplists of the same category, such as the tagging toplist for the day and the tagging toplist for the month, the better of the two take effect.

Monthly Awards

Awards are given on the first day of each month to the users who ranked in the top of one or more monthly toplists the previous day. Users that manage to rank in the top of multiple toplists get one award for each valid rank. The rewards are tickets which are the equivalent of HentaiVerse Trophies. These can be exchanged at the Shrine for equipment or sold at the item shop for credits.

Yearly Awards

All ranked users receive a Tenbora's Box trophy for each Toplist in which they rank within the top 7.

Award Auras

These awards are auras from a technical point of view.

Between 2008-2010 awards were given to users that ranked in the first 3 places of the yearly toplists.

As of 2011, the scoring which determines if one receives an award aura is now based on the sum total of all the toplist ranks made for the year (e.g. 1st place is 7 points, 2nd place is 6 points, etc.) Those who score at least 1 point in this manner receive an aura.

Time Discrepancies

Sometimes it takes a while for the system to update. You may upload or tag a large number of galleries and not see these changes in the toplists until the following day or two.

The toplists are updated during the Dawn of a New Day, but the update process takes a few minutes to complete. Thus, the toplists page may contain some inaccuracies during the update process.
