The E-Hentai Gallery System is one of the core systems of the E-Hentai site, where users are able to contribute their own material in the form of one or more user galleries. A user can upload private and public galleries of hentai and anime-related content, which they can use on the E-Hentai Forums and other sites and forums in order to easily to maintain and share content with other people.

Originally this category was named "Real Porn" but due to rampant uploading content of relative bad taste (such as overweight or obese models, content with little or no nudity, and otherwise fugly looking people) the Administrator decided in August of 2008 to relocate non-Asian porn to the Miscellaneous section. Unlike most other galleries, the amount of GP earned from private galleries is reduced to 50% of what an uploader would usually receive. For instance if a gallery would earn 100 GP, the uploader would only receive 50 GP rather than the full 100.

The system directs a user to the particular page that would have an event once every hour, but if the user does not have an active event or does not qualify to get a new one it will redirect the user to the ad that would be there.  
*Some searches based on tags will have additional results due to how [[Gallery_Tagging#What_are_slave_tags.3F|slave tags]] work, see [[Gallery_Tagging#Known_Issues|here]] for a list of known tags affected. A workaround exists by using [[Gallery_Searching#Operators|exclusions]] when searching.

Commenting

The commenting system allows users to leave comments on galleries and to vote on comments.

Doggie Bagging

The Doggie Bag system allows users of the site to download archived versions of a gallery for a fee, either in Credits or Gallery Points. This system is shared by both the user galleries and the main galleries.

Expunging

A form of gallery moderation that allows users to petition for the removal of galleries from the gallery pages, primarily in regards to duplicates and inferior copies of already uploaded galleries.

Favorites

Allows users to save a large number of galleries to a list of favorites. These favorites are sorted via user-chosen colors with customizable names.

Managing

Allows users to upload and maintain their own galleries for public and private use. It also allows a user to categorize and sort their galleries internally using gallery folders.

Quick Browsing

The Quick Browse system is a JavaScript based pre-fetching system that loads images of a gallery in the background, allowing faster gallery loading. This can be enabled through a user's gallery settings, for which the user must have a Gold Aura or the Quick Browse Hath Perk.

Rating

Allows users to rate galleries (besides their own). A gallery's rating is viewable on the gallery pages as well as within the galleries themselves.

Reporting

A form of gallery moderation that allows users to petition for the removal of galleries from the gallery pages; it is only to be used in cases of very serious rule violations. Not to be used as a substitute for Expunging.

Searching

Provides a means of finding certain galleries based on various properties.

Tagging

The tagging system allows users to indicate the content and other properties of a gallery such as its author, language, major fetishes, characters, etc. It is highly recommended to read the guide before performing any tagging.

Toplists

The E-Hentai Toplists are a set of listings that showcase users who contribute the most to the galleries in many ways. There are currently 7 toplists: individual galleries, uploaders, taggers, Hentai@Home participants, EHTracker seeders, cleanup participants, and rating and reviewing.

User Overview and Control Panel

The User Overview and Control Panel is the primary location of information regarding a user's activity in galleries. Included are your visits and hits stats, GP conversion, settings, etc.

Current Known Issues

  • The filesize and resolution limits listed when uploading are out of date. The current limits are:
10 MB per image
~200 MB per archive
20,000 x 20,000 for resolution
  • Searches that include the phrase "school" return 0 results.
  • Some searches based on tags will have additional results due to how slave tags work, see here for a list of known tags affected. A workaround exists by using exclusions when searching.
