Power

Karma and Power are two related aspects of E-hentai. Karma acts as a reputation system and power as a modifier for various functions involving the galleries.

Power

Your maximum power is calculated using the following factors:

• The base Power is 1
• For each year you have been registered, you gain 10 Power
• For each forum post you make, you gain 0.002 Power
• For each level in Henjutsu you have, you gain 1/3 Power
• For each level in Power Tank you train, you gain 0.5 Power

The total sum is then rounded downwards.

The total Power is multiplied by a Karma Factor depending on your Karma level (see below). Each level above or below neutral changes the bonus factor by 1/6 in the corresponding direction. Examples: Scintillating (13 pips) gives a 2x multiplier, Neutral Karma (7 pips) gives a 1x multiplier and a maxed Negative Karma (1 pip) gives a 0x multiplier.

Auras give additional multipliers to Power.

For example: If a member registered 397 days ago, has 489 posts, and has a Henjutsu Level of 6, and has a Karma level of positive 9, they will have:

(1 + 397/36.5 + 489/500 + 6/3) * [1 + (9-7)*1/6] = 17 Power

In addition, if they had a Silver Aura, this would be multiplied by 1.5, resulting in 25 Power.

Mod Power

Your Power affects your ability to vote more strongly on Gallery Tagging, Gallery Ratings, and on gallery petitions (Renaming and Expunging).

Karma Imbuements

Note that negative Karma can no longer be imbued.

In order to imbue someone with positive Karma, hit the corresponding button shown on the figure above. The one you imbue will receive an amount of Karma equal to your current Power, up to 1000.

Each time you imbue someone with Karma, your Karma Power will temporarily be drained. The power will regenerate at a rate of 0.5% every minute; it will also never drop below 1.

• You may only imbue someone with karma once every 72 hours.
• Repeated karma imbues between the same people will reduce the actual karma imbued. Karmic Exhaustion starts at 15% after 5 mutual imbues plus 3% for every additional imbue the past 30 days.
• New users are unable to imbue karma until they have posted.
• Your karma bar will not be visible until you have received karma from another user, although you can still imbue others beforehand.

The amount of Karma received from imbuements can be boosted via Karma Amplifier Training (1% per rank, 100% maximum) and Hath Perks (25% per rank, 100% maximum).

Note that there are lower levels than 6 grayscale (as low as 1). However, since negative karma can no longer be imbued, active users can no longer achieve the necessary NK to PK ratio.
