Equipment in the HentaiVerse is categorized into two different types, Weaponry and Armor.

Weapons

Weapons are split into three kinds, One-Handed, Two-Handed, and Staffs.

  • One-Handed Weapons (1H)
    • Seven Total: Dagger, Shortsword, Wakizashi, Axe, Club, Rapier, Sword Chucks

Armor

Armor is categorized into six areas of defense, Shields, Helmet, Body, Hands, Legs, and Feet. All armors except shields are also divided into varying levels of strength namely, Cloth Armor (CA), Light Armor (LA) and Heavy Armor (HA). It has been said by Tenboro that the armors have "Four kinds of cloth, three kinds of light, two kinds of heavy".

Prefixes and Suffixes

All Equipment has a tiered scale of prefixes featuring a quality grade and element. Some equipment also features suffixes that provide an extra effect.

Quality

Quality Grade is separated by those below Average and by those above Average. Quality has an effect on the stats of the equipment, where higher quality equipment generally has better stats.

  • Below Average
    • Flimsy
    • Crude
    • Fair
  • Average
  • Above Average
    • Fine
    • Superior
    • Exquisite
    • Magnificent

It has been hinted that another grade, Legendary, may exist above Magnificent; however it is unknown whether anyone has ever actually received equipment of this grade.

Ethereal

Some weapons with the quality grade of fine or above have the additional prefix Ethereal. Ethereal weapons have zero Interference and Burden and inflict Soul damage which is particularly effective against the Legendary and Godly enemies. As a trade-off, they generally have lower stats than their non-ethereal counterparts. Needless to say, they are both valuable and rare.

Element

Element Denotes the level bracket of the equipment. Each piece of equipment has an innate "gear level" that determines the base stats of the piece. If a player equips a piece with a higher gear level than their own level, its stats will be scaled down to their level in accordance with level scaling.

  • Order

    • Iron LVL 20-39 [Only applies to Weapons, Heavy Armor]
    • Silver LVL 20-39 [Only applies to Staffs, Cloth & Light Armor]
    • Steel LVL 40-59 [Only applies to Weapons, Heavy Armor]
    • Gold LVL 40-59 [Only applies to Staffs, Cloth & Light Armor]

    • Ruby LVL 160-179
    • Diamond LVL 180-199
    • Prism LVL 200-???

Notes:

  1. As of patch 0.4.0, new Staffs, Cloth and Light armor generated by the system no longer have an element to denote their level brackets.
  2. Equipment may have the "wrong" element for its level if it has been levelled up in Item World, as this does not currently change the original element when the equipment enters a new bracket.

Suffixes

For more details on this topic, see Equipment Suffixes.

Suffixes are special characteristics that can be found on some weapons and armor and add or improve certain stats.
