For Armor:
- When a player is hit, an occupied armor slot is randomly chosen. Depending on the players current proficiency with that armor type, they might proficiency in the use of that type of armor.
- When a player blocks an attack with a Shield, they have an increased chance of gaining Shield proficiency.
For Weapons:
- When a player successfully hits an enemy, there is a chance that they gain proficiency with their current fighting style.
- Players using the Niten Ichiryu fighting style do not gain proficiency in either Two-Handed or Dual Wielding proficiency even though both are used to determine equipment stats and fighting style procs.
