Yes, I know that, that's why I've raised the issue regarding it in this thread though I still haven't received feedback on it after the last post regarding the issue. Wouldn't standardizing the definition lessen the confusion for other users, who are more familiar with the term that the online community has accepted? It cuts both ways. Most of our tagging userbase is used to the existing definition (which has been around for a few years). Existing downvotes would be a nightmare to undo at this point. Also, we're a unique site with our particular approach to tagging so having definitions from other sites isn't a concern one way or the other. The type of penetration is a fair concern but irregardless this issue must be addressed and approved in the forums, which I doubt will happen. Sorry. - Maximum Joe 06:25, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Well, I did raise the issue about standardizing the tags to fit the knowledge of the common userbase in the forums and it seems it got ignored (link on the previous post). But I see your point, undoing the downvotes would indeed be a nightmare. If there's anything I could do to help with these tagging problems, please let me know. Just do what tagging you can based on the current ruleset, every little bit helps. If there is something you don't agree with then simply leave any involved tags as is. Thanks!
