Gender Notes (WIP)

  • A participant is either female ♀ or male ♂ for tagging purposes, which is referred to as their gender. A participant's gender may change over the course of a story but it's always either one or the other at any given point in time.
  • Almost every fetish tag has a note explaining how the gender of the participants determines its namespace. Be aware of these, as usage of the wrong namespace is a common source of mistakes for some tags.
  • Gender is determined visually whenever possible.
    • The gender of a participant often cannot be determined by genitalia alone. See the tags futanari and shemale, which count as female; as well as cuntboy and otokofutanari, which count as male.
      • Other traits considered include the presence of breasts, a feminine body form (e.g. wide hips or slim waist) or the face.
    • In cases of visual ambiguity, contextual or canon information may be used.
    • In cases of total gender ambiguity (no visual or contextual cues) tagging defaults to hetero-normative. Solo participants default to female.
    • Borderline cases always exist. If you are unsure, ask in the General Tag Discussion thread.
    • If gender cues are absent, rogue genitalia defaults to the gender said genitalia typically originates from:
      • A rogue penis is assumed to belong to a male participant.
      • A rogue vagina is assumed to belong to a female participant.
  • gender change and its related tags only apply if a participant's gender changes from male to female or vice versa. For example, a male growing a vagina does not qualify assuming no further changes occur, while a male turning into a shemale does qualify.
  • A tag definition using the terms female or male includes futanari and shemale or cuntboy and otokofutanari respectively, unless noted otherwise (important exceptions include tags such as females only, sole male or yaoi/yuri).

New tag ideas

Pussyboy threesomes

If anyone finds more examples, PM me on the forums.

Unclear whether pussyboys right now should be using m for threesomes, but probably not.

10 new combinations with f/m/t: ccc, ccf, ccm, cct, ffc, mmc, ttc, cfm, cft, cmt

Not all have examples though, the following I found checking galleries with less than 40 pages uploaded before May 2022. Only listing one version per gallery (e.g. not different translations).

ccm threesome

[1] [2]

cfm threesome

[3] (currently tagged mmf)

mmc threesome

[4] [5]

ttc threesome

[6] (maybe too few threesome scenes)

Missing Gender

Tags that could in theory apply to both genders but are currently only namespaced to a single one in lack of an example for the other.

Impossible tag searches

If every gallery was tagged (and categorized) perfectly, all of these searches should have 0 results. Numbers in brackets are the approximate number of results when first entered here. Note that many of these searches will overlap (i.e. fixing one gallery may decrease the result count for multiple searches). Note that in many cases given below, you could get more invalid results by applying a namespaces (e.g. "anal intercourse" -anal$ may not find galleries tagged m:"anal intercourse" but without m:anal$ if f:anal$ is tagged). In these cases, I only give the version without namespaces.

Misc Requirements

Incest-Related

Note that several searches such as m:father -yaoi may have valid result due to pussyboys.

Animals

Skipping for now because animals without bestiality / animal on furry / animal on animal can be correct (see Talk:Tag Relations).

Creatures

Groups

Multiple Activities

Sole xxx / xxx only

Futanari / Shemale

Skipping for now because tags like male on dickgirl without futanari and shemale can be correct (see Talk:Tag Relations).

Costume Crossdressing

Bigger / Smaller Requirements

meaning all tags that require the smaller version of themselves

Bondage Requirements

Technical Relations

Low Presence

High Presence

Wrong Category

Do NOT blindly downvote; galleries may be in need of reclassing instead.

Reclass Tags

Active reclass tags are a good indicator of galleries that need reclassing. If the galleries are in the correct category, the reclass tag should NOT be downvoted (the autotagger will take care of that in a while).

Weak Tags

Ideally, there shouldn't be any weak (dotted border) tag, such a tag should either be voted up if correct or be removed if incorrect. As such, any search using a (positive) weak: qualifier should have zero results (I won't provide an exhaustive list).

Confusable Character Tags

Short characters tags, many of which I did some cleanup or extended the wiki entry. Number in brackets is a lower bound on how many different characters the tag applies to, only counting those passing presence within at least one available gallery. Note that due to the nature of these tags, they are expected to be somewhat incomplete. The number of questios marks is a rough indicator of me believing that characters are missing.
