Gallery Points

General Overview
Gallery Points (often abbreviated to GP) are the primary reward for participation in the E-Hentai Galleries. It is also received from hits accumulated while participating in the Hentai@Home System.
GP Acquisition
There are a few ways to gain GP, of which they are all attributed to the Gallery System. They include:
- Receiving hits from a Gallery you have uploaded
- Receiving a portion of the cost of when someone Doggie Bag's a gallery
- Receiving hits while participating in the Hentai@Home System
- Uploading and/or seeding a torrent of a gallery (EHTracker)
- Writing informative comments and reviews for galleries
The Uses of GP
The original purpose of GP was to be spent for doggiebagging galleries. A far more popular purpose however, is to convert GP to credits, for use in other systems such as the Training System in the User Site CP.
GP can also be used as a currency for the Hath Exchange, where users can bid to purchase Hath, which can be used to obtain from other users that willing to sell for a selling price that is set by the poster. Hath is used to obtain Hath Perks.
Gallery Point Value
Originally, the value of GP was static, at a rate of .2 credits equaled one GP (similarly, 5 GP would equal 1 credit). However, the value of GP now is variable, dependent on how much GP is converted by users globally over the time, between each conversion. While the actual conversion amount fluctuates widely, the conversion rate was subject to inflation and at high point in mid-2009 roes to 23 GP per credit. The rate was reset to a little above 10 GP for 1 credit in August.
For the sake of the Doggie Bag system however, GP still retains its static value where 5 GP is equivalent to 1 credit.
