Comments become hidden if they fall below -50 power along with a veto holder's or gallery owner's downvote.

I think the part after "-50 power" of this sentence can be removed now. Comments with positive power downvoted by gallery owner are still visible.

as far as I know, the veto holder / gallery owner downvote will actually make a comment "semi-permanently" hidden (i.e. ?hc=1 will not show the hidden comment) but if that user makes their own comment, their vote will be reversed making the comment visible again. different behavior to >-100 but may need testing if possible

I want to use these two galleries as example, they are uploaded by me, I haven't post any comment, I downvoted a a comment in each gallery and both comment are in negative score. They are still visible to me, not behind the viewing threshold, but I don't know about others.

Do you have an example with an uploader/veto downvoted comment with < 50 power, as well as one that is < 50 power without, in galleries with < 45 comments?

unfortunately I can't find any comment downvoted by veto holders, presumbly because they disappears very fast. at least in my uploads, all comments downvoted by me that's > -50 power are still visiable. dongmian (talk) 05:45 10 Feb 2023 (UTC)
