This is part of the E-Hentai FAQ: Wiki Edition.

General Overview
The E-Hentai Toplists is a public measurement of a users participation activity in the E-Hentai Galleries and Hentai@Home system. Any user that is registered on the site forums are able to participate.
Toplist Categories
There are currently four categories in which users can compete for the top positions. Each category is separated by day, month, year, and All time.
Gallery Toplists
This lists the top viewed galleries. To be featured on this list, you simply need to upload galleries onto the site and hope for many users to view your gallery. Advertising your galleries on the E-Hentai Forums or other places of your choice. You receive points for each viewed picture up to a maximum per gallery and also for Doggie Bag downloads. Alternatively you can see what kind of activity individual galleries are receiving by going to the User Gallery Manager, scrolling down to a public gallery, and clicking the stats link the right. (you need to be logged into E-Hentai for this link to work)
For the Gallery Manager page article, click here.
Uploader Toplists
This is similar to the gallery toplist, except it is for the cumulative total for all activity of a user's galleries. To get on this list is much harder to stay competitive since you need to upload many galleries, that continually receive visits. The advertising method mentioned above also can help with this. Alternatively you can see what kind of activity your galleries are receiving as a collective on the user stat page. (you need to be logged into E-Hentai for this link to work)
For the Stat page article, click here.
Tagging Toplists
This is a list of the top taggers. To tag you simply need to go to any gallery and put in descriptors that describe the gallery.
More about tagging is located here.
Hentai@Home Toplists
This shows the activity of users running the Hentai@Home system. All you have to do to be ranked on this toplist is to run the Hentai@Home client. The faster the upload speed and more hits you get as a H@H client, the faster the numbers add up.
EHTracker Toplists
As of the 0.12.5 E-Hentai Galleries update, a toplist for EHTracker has been added, and can be found together with the other toplists. The score for this toplist is a weighed combination of your torrent's completions as well as your seedmins and seed ratio for the given periods. The exact weighing algorithm is still subject to change. Seed ratio is capped to a factor between 0.1 and 2.
Cleanup Toplists
This is a list of users who most contribute to the ongoing effort to keep the galleries properly organized by updating titles, as well as expunging duplicates, unsuitable entries, and prohibited content. Users can join in simply by signing gallery petitions, but participating through The Vigilante section on the forum is both advised and preferred.
Rating & Reviewing Toplists
This lists the users who have either rated galleries, made comments/reviews about galleries, or voted for or against such comments/reviews. Before May 21th 2010, the users who rated galleries were taken into account in the Tagging toplists instead, and before the creation of those toplists (in January 25th 2010), the comments/reviews voters were added to the Cleanup toplists.
Rewards
XP Bonus
When a user is ranked in the top 25 of a toplist, they are rewarded both actively and passively during the period of time they hold a rank. Below is a list of rewards. A user is given a small lump sum of experience, as well as an increased percentage of all experience earned between toplist calculations (usually at least a 24 hour period).

| # 5 | 9 exp | 25% |
| # 6 | 8 exp | 20% |
| # 7 | 7 exp | 19% |
| # 8 | 6 exp | 18% |

Example
If you are first place in a toplist, then you would receive a lump sum of 20 exp. Added on to that, all the EXP you receive while at that rank will be imcreased by 50%. So if you got, say 250 exp throughout the day (not including the lump sum 20 exp), then you would get an additional 125 exp.
Being ranked in multiple different toplists is also cumulative; if you are 1st place in two different categories, then you would receive 40 exp and a 100% increase in experience. However, if you are in two toplists in the same category, for instance the tagging toplist for the day and the tagging toplist for the month, the better of the two take effect.
Monthly Awards
Since October 2009, awards are given on the first day of each month to the users who ranked in the top of one or more monthly toplists the previous day. Users that manage to rank in the top of multiple toplists get one award for each valid rank.
At first, these awards was Hentaiverse items, the quality of the given items being related to the toplist position:
| Toplist rank | HV Item |
|---|---|
| 1st | Flower Vase |
| 2nd | Soul Stone |
| 3rd | Last Elixir |
| 4th | Bubble-Gum |
| 5th | Infusion of Gaia |
| 6th | Scroll of the Gods |
| 7th | Scroll of the Avatar |
Since November 2010 (HV 0.4.8 release), the HV items were replaced by HV Trophies as (Shrine) tickets:
| Toplist rank | HV Trophy |
|---|---|
| 1st | Platinum Ticket (+2500 loot quality) |
| 2nd | Golden Ticket (+2000 loot quality) |
| 3rd | Golden Ticket (+2000 loot quality) |
| 4th | Silver Ticket (+1500 loot quality) |
| 5th | Silver Ticket (+1500 loot quality) |
| 6th | Bronze Ticket (+1000 loot quality) |
| 7th | Bronze Ticket (+1000 loot quality) |
Yearly Awards
Since 2008, awards have usually been given to users that ranked in the first 3 places of the yearly toplists on the last day of the year. As these awards are auras from a technical point of view, they are described in the Auras article.
Time Discrepancies
Sometimes it takes a while for the system to update. You may upload or tag a large number of galleries and not see these changes in the toplists until the following day or two.
Each toplist is updated at 0:00 in UTC, but the update process takes a few minutes to complete. Thus, the toplists page may contain some noticeable incoherence during the update process.
