| ''Tenboro states "All generated gear has an inherent "gear level". While this doesn't actually affect the inherent stats of the item, it will be used by the equipment scaling/balancing subsystem to increase gear power with level. And no, you probably won't be able to equip items with a gear level above yours - '''although it's possible I'll build in a down-scaling to the minimum of the gear level and the character level, seeing as the system easily enables that'''."''

| -He implemented the bolded part which nullifies the previous part. So, something needs to be written about the down-scaling of higher level equipment.

| -Isn't that the stat scaling he put in way back in the early days of 0.3? --[[User:Cmal|cmal]] 22:26, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

| -Yes, but the description above makes it look like you cannot use anything above your level.-Boggyb

| -Okay, I've done some copy-editing to spiffy up that section and corrected the stat scaling. The section about suffixes needs to be updated and corrected and I think we should create a new page with info about the known effects. We also should come up with a more appropriate name for them instead of just calling them suffixes. --[[User:Cmal|cmal]] 00:42, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
