''Tenboro states "All generated gear has an inherent "gear level". While this doesn't actually affect the inherent stats of the item, it will be used by the equipment scaling/balancing subsystem to increase gear power with level. And no, you probably won't be able to equip items with a gear level above yours - although it's possible I'll build in a down-scaling to the minimum of the gear level and the character level, seeing as the system easily enables that."''

Quality, Element, and Suffixes

All Equipment have a tiered scale of prefixes featuring a quality grade and element. Some equipment also feature suffixes that provide an extra effect.

Quality

Quality Grade is separated by those below Average and by those above Average. Quality has an effect on the stats of the equipment, where higher quality equipment generally have better stats.

  • Below Average
    • Flimsy
    • Crude
    • Fair
  • Average
  • Above Average
    • Fine
    • Superior
    • Exquisite
    • Magnificent
  • Ethereal is a hidden weapon sub-grade that has zero Interference and Burden and do damage of the type Soul. Ethereal weapons are very rare.

Element

Element (EL) Denotes the level bracket of the equipment. Each piece of equipment has an innate "gear level" that determines the base stats of the piece. If a player equips a piece with a higher gear level than their own level, its stats will be scaled down.
