Line 1: Line 1:
There are several ways to start a new page.
=Equipment Advice=
The propose of this page is to help new players by showing what good gear is, and the popular ways of being used.

== Using Wikilinks ==
General note #0:It's advised to see detailed information about the [http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Weapons Weapons], and [http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Armor Armour] before read this.
MediaWiki makes it very easy to link wiki pages using a standard syntax (see [[Help:Links|Links]]). If you (or anyone else) creates a link to an article that doesn't exist yet, the link will be coloured red, <span style="color: #ba0000">like this</span>.

Clicking a red link, will take you to the edit page for the new article. Simply type your text, click save and the new page will be created.
General note #1:Crits always trigger the equipment Proc of the main-hand weapon type. This means it's possible for a weapon A with less proc chance, but higher Attack Critical Bonus than Weapon B, actually trigger more the equipment Proc comparably to Weapon B. This means ''Attack Critical Bonus'' is always an important stat.

Once the page has been created, the link will change from <span style="color: #ba0000">red</span> to <span style="color: #002bb8;">blue</span> (<span style="color: #5a3696;">purple</span> for pages you've visited) indicating that the article now exists.
General note #2:This is only advices, based on the experience of the older players (For now it's only cmdct's experience), no one are obligated on discarding other strategics.

Usually this is the best way to create a new page, because it means that right from the start, the page will be linked from at least one other place on the wiki (and typically you will want to mesh it into other related pages later) If you are creating a new page without creating any link to it, you may need to ask yourself: Does this page really fit in with the topics already covered in the wiki? Also, how are you expecting visitors to find this page? Normally there is no reason to create a page without first creating a red link to it.

== Using the URL ==
== Short Introduction about One-Handed Weapons and Shields ==
You can use the wiki's URL for creating a new page. The URL to an article of the wiki is usually something like this:
=== Axe ===
*<code><nowiki>http://www.example.net/index.php/</nowiki>'''ARTICLE'''</code> &nbsp;&nbsp; or
Axes are weapons have high Attack Damage Multiplier, and Bleed Wound values, so they are ideal weapons for dealing high damage to the enemies.
*<code><nowiki>http://www.example.net/wiki/</nowiki>'''ARTICLE'''</code>

If you replace <code>'''ARTICLE'''</code> with the name of the page you wish to create, you will be taken to a blank page which indicates that no article of that name exists yet. Clicking the "''edit''" [[Help:Navigation#Page Tabs|page tab]] at the top of the page will take you to the edit page for that article, where you can create the new page by typing your text, and clicking submit.
Their use is One-handed, or Dual Wielding, as main-hand or off-hand.

== From the search page ==
'''Most Important Stats:'''
If you search for a page that doesn't exist (using the search box and 'go' button on the left of the page) then you will be provided with a link to create the new page.  (Note that this technique doesn't work if you use the 'search' button).

== Create redirects to your new page ==
Attack Damage Multiplier, Bleeding tick/chance/turns.
Don't forget to setup redirects when you create a page. If you think another person may search for the page you've created by using a different name or spelling, please create the proper redirect(s). See [[Help:Redirects]]

== Protecting your new page ==
'''Advantages:'''
Normally a new wiki page can edited by other people (that ''is'' one of the main ideas of a wiki!)  However, you could 'protect' the page, if desired, to prevent normal users editing it. This requires sysop permissions.

[[Category:Help|Starting a new page]]
-The faster way to clear rounds is with them, since once a enemy is bleeding, the player can start hitting the next monster, leaving the other dying.

'''Disadvantages:'''

-Axes don't have parry, so they give less defense.

-The absence of PA, means that the damage from poison is pitiful, an important fact when dealing with bigger monsters.

Examples of good axes:

Note: In case of physical immune monsters like the RoB Gods, the important stats are Bleeding tick/chance/turns, Attack Accuracy Bonus. Example of an Anti-God Axe:

=== Rapier ===
Rapiers are weapons with low Attack Damage Multiplier, but because Penetrated Armour proc, they still deal high damage to the enemies.
Their use is One-handed, or Dual Wielding, as main-hand or off-hand.

'''Most Important Stats:'''

Attack Damage Multiplier, Parry, Penetrate Armour chance/turns.

'''Advantages:'''

-Since they offer high Attack Accuracy Bonus, and parry, rapiers provide more protection.

-Excellent for dealing with bigger monsters, as well Penetrated Armour provides an extra damage from poison.

'''Disadvantages:'''

-It's slower way to clear rounds comparative with axes.

-The extra damage from penetrated Armour doesn't appear always.

=== Club ===
Clubs are weapons have high Physical Damage Multiplier, capable of dealing high damage to the enemies, but due it's proc (stun) in the end monsters die slower comparative to axes/rapiers and that means more damage from other enemies, and more MP spent from recasting supportive/healing/deprecating spells.

Their use is very unpopular.

Daggers are weapons with low Attack Damage Multiplier, high Attack Accuracy Bonus, and high parry values, so they're incapable of dealing high damage to the enemies, but they offer the best protection of the one-handed weapons.

=== Shortsword ===
Shortswords are weapons with balanced stats, and because of that like clubs their use is very unpopular.

Sword Chucks are weapons have high Attack Damage Multiplier, and Bleed Wound values, so they are ideal weapons for dealing high damage to the enemies like axes, but they differ in the fact they possess high Attack Critical Bonus, and don't possess Attack Accuracy Bonus.
Their use is Dual Wielding, as main-hand or off-hand.

'''Most Important Stats:'''

Attack Damage Multiplier, Attack Critical Bonus, Bleeding tick/chance/turns.
'''Advantages:'''

-Due their high crit bonus, they're capable of dealing high damage to the enemies, and they increase the chance of triggering the main-hand proc.

-They miss more.

Shields are very simple to judge: The more block chance they have, the better they are.
The popular are Kites, since they almost the same block chance as towers, but with much less compromise stats.
