Each battle will spawn a number of [[HentaiVerse Bestiary|monsters]] to fight. The player always acts first. The [[difficulty]] of the HentaiVerse battles may be selected out of battle.&lt;br /&gt;

Offensive spells deal damage to monsters while Tactical spells include healing spells, supportive buffs, and debuffs against monsters. Hotkey is &#039;W&#039;.&lt;br /&gt;
**Pressing the hotkey &#039;R&#039; will recast the previously cast spell on the previously selected target, or on yourself if a [[Spells#Supportive_Magic|supportive]]/[[Spells#Curative_Magic|curative]] spell was cast. After you select your command and execute it, each enemy may perform an attack, spell, or spirit attack. Most of the time, this will result in the end of a turn, though sometimes certain abilities [[Action Speed|take longer to perform]] than others, like Area-of-Effect spells. In these cases, some enemies may act a second time before you can respond. Combat ends when either you or your enemies&#039; health is reduced to 0, or you successfully [[Skills|flee]] from battle.&lt;br /&gt;

==Losing==&lt;br /&gt;
Losing occurs when your Hit Points are reduced to zero and Spark of Life did not proc. You will be given a message to indicate your defeat and will be ejected from the battle series in which you were fighting. Entering any new battle series without recovering at least 1 HP will result in another immediate loss. Fleeing allows you to leave a battle at any time (given a few turns) with slightly less penalties.&lt;br /&gt;

This uses Lesser potions of the appropriate type and will only use stronger ones if the Lesser potions are insufficient in number. You may also recover all 3 points completely by using a single [[Items#Tokens|Heal Token]].&lt;br /&gt;

The chance of it being applied is determined by the specific piece of equipment with a maximum chance of 25% for all weapons except the mace which has a maximum of 30%. &lt;div&gt;The Monster Lab was released in patch 0.5.0. While still in development, the lab allows the players to create custom monsters that any players can then encounter during battles. A monster slot is needed in order to create a new monster; such slots can be unlocked using [[Items#Tokens|Chaos Tokens]]. A new monster is created by giving it a name, a base class, and a primary attack type.&lt;br /&gt;

==Naming==&lt;br /&gt;
Some guidelines should be followed regarding the name of the monsters in order to avoid libelous or otherwise unacceptable names. Only 1 monster should be named directly after an E-Hentai player. In addition, do not use names that:&lt;br /&gt;
*Would otherwise break the RoE (e.g. racist or hateful names)&lt;br /&gt;
*Consists of gibberish&lt;br /&gt;
*Are misspellings of existing monsters&#039; names&lt;br /&gt;
*Are misleading (e.g. &amp;quot;Weak Against Holy&amp;quot; or &amp;quot;Bob the Dragon&amp;quot; on a non-dragon monster)&lt;br /&gt;

A monster can be renamed by paying with additional Chaos Tokens. However, once the monster reached PL 100 this can no longer be done. The monster cannot be deleted at this point as well.&lt;br /&gt;

The Arena is one of the battle modes in the [[HentaiVerse]] mini-game.&lt;br /&gt;

In the Arena, battles have a predetermined length and number of [[HentaiVerse_Bestiary|monsters]] per round. Each Arena challenge has a level requirement. The first time you clear a new Arena challenge, you get a significant [[Credits|credit]] bonus. After you clear a challenge once, the bonus for clearing that challenge again is reduced. Each Arena challenge may only be attempted once per [[Dawn of a New Day]], regardless of success or failure. Arenas started before the Dawn, but cleared afterwards, are counted towards the previous day and do not enter cooldown.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Unlike in [[Grindfest]] and [[Item World]] battles, the monsters in Arena challenges do not get stronger as the rounds progress. Instead, they remain at 100% strength for the entire battle. There is also an [[EXP]] modifier for each Arena challenge, which alters the EXP you earn from each monster killed. As the challenges get longer and require higher levels, the EXP modifier gets larger and exceeds x1.0.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Completing an Arena challenge is guaranteed to net you a random [[Items|Item]] or [[Equipment]]. There is also a chance that you will receive a [[Bazaar#Healer|Token of Healing]], [[Token of Blood]], or [[Items#Tokens|Chaos Token]] in additional to the usual reward. You will also have your HP and MP fully restored at the end of each arena challenge.&lt;br /&gt;
