"Vanilla" is barred from being a tag as a decision by the administration. Numerous debates have made it clear that there never will be a consensus to its definition. Nearly every user has their own personal standards as to what they consider "normal". There are many considerations as to what can qualify as a basic sexual activity (aside from heterosexual vaginal sex):

• Other common activities (anal, blowjob, cunnilingus, paizuri, etc.)
• Threesomes that are heteronormative (ffm threesome)

• Near-human creatures (elf, etc.)

• Genderplay (gender bender) that still results in a single heterosexual pairing

The closest alternatives to those attempting to find "vanilla" works are the "sole female" and "sole male" tags along with various exclusions.
