Also, not 100% sure but I think the MC from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is called "Bobobo" most often, but you'll have to ask someone who's read/watched it to confirm.

After looking around it seems he is indeed called Bobobo, but don't think its a osaka / azumanga issue, where people don't know his real name (as the series name is the same as his), so imo-

sticking with his full name works.
